RYT 500

Yoga Philosophy

Emil teaches yoga philosophy, meditation and pranayama on the Yoga Arts’ trainings. He has been living in Asia since the mid seventies, studying Indian thought as well as Chinese classical philosophy.

His many years of residency in Nepal and India have brought about a passion for yoga, in particular, the aspects of breath and meditation in both the Buddhist and Hindu traditions. His courses offer a glimpse into the treasures of philosophy and their application in daily life, as yoga practice and ritual, all in the original context.

Asana Methodology

Lucy is a Yoga teacher and trainer with a dedicated practice of more than 20 years. Her style is fluid, feminine, intuitive, & creative, with respect for the roots and ultimate purpose of the practice. That is, remembering who we really are!

Trained by Yoga Arts, Lucy later apprenticed directly with Louisa Sear, spending more than a decade as part of the Yoga Arts faculty delivering Level 1 & 2 Teacher Trainings Internationally.

Since becoming a mother in 2016, she’s been based in Byron Bay with her partner & daughter, teaching regular classes and retreats, offering online courses and 1-1 coaching, alongside the very humbling and devotional practice that is parenting.

Inspired by the heart-centred practices of Bhakti Yoga, the non-dual teachings of Advaita & Self Inquiry, and the contemporary Buddhist teachings of Radical Compassion,

Lucy’s classes are an invitation to greater awareness, and loving curiosity of body, mind and heart.

ANOUK AOUN WENDEL

RYT500

Asana Teaching, Asana Assistant, Pre-Natal Methodology

Attending her first class in 1997 Yoga soon became a daily practice for Anouk, in and beyond its physical aspects. Over the last seven years Anouk has been regularly teaching at Teacher Training programs, under the guidance of her teacher Julie Martin, in India since 2010, in Bali at Yoga Arts with Louisa Sear and Intuitive Flow with Linda Madani.

Today Anouk’s teachings in these practices are inspired by her heart teacher and partner Emil Wendel. She endeavors to keep learning from the teachers mentioned above, and other senior teachers, as she honors the wisdom they have accumulated throughout their many years of Sadhana.

Working with breath, movement and meditation, Yoga allows Anouk to reach a subtle center point where she experiences a sense of stillness, groundedness and attentiveness. Anouk sees teaching as an act of giving and devotion; her intention is to guide and inform her students and to encourage us all to remain inquisitive, joyous and non-dogmatic along our spiritual journeys.
